Plot 89, Sandhills Holiday Park, Mudeford
SHORELINE
We hope that you will love our spacious and beautifully appointed lodge on the boutique Sandhills Holiday Park as much as we do. Our modern lodge has two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and the second one with full size twin beds. There is a dedicated parking space adjacent to the property.
As you enter the lodge, there is a study area to the right with a small desk and chair which is ideal for those that must ‘work when away’ or a study area/gaming space for the kids. This storage area also houses the washing machine, iron and pegs and a large lift up shoe box.
Take advantage of the nice size decking which overlooks Christchurch Harbour. There is a dining table and four chairs, great for alfresco dining. For those lazy moments, two Adirondack chairs with a handy ice storage table plus a further bistro table and chairs for relaxing in with your morning cuppa. You will find a storage container on the decking which holds the dining chair cushions and two mega comfy Adirondack chair cushions. It truly is the perfect place to watch the world go by and marvel at the windsurfers and paddleboarders. The sunsets on the harbour are also not to be missed!
Our open plan living and dining area has a 49” smart TV in the lounge with two comfortable sofas and an electric fireplace for those chilly cosy evenings in. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped with all you need for cooking in, an electric oven and gas hob, a full-size dishwasher and Bosch Tasimo coffee machine. There is an island with two high stools in addition to the dining table that seats four.
Both bedrooms have smart TVs and the master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with bath and shower above and a separate walk in dressing/storage room. The twin bedroom has two 3 feet single beds and room between them for a travel cot if required, with ample fitted storage.
The family bathroom has a large walk-in shower.
Sandhills Holiday Park has two heated swimming pools, one for adults and a smaller one for younger children. There is seating around the pool area and a club house that offers entertainment, mainly during the summer period.
The lodge is right on the doorstep of Avon Beach and a short stroll along to Mudeford Quay, which is famous for crabbing. Crab nets and bait can be purchased from the Fish Stall on the Quay or there is a souvenir shop attached to the Haven Inn Pub. There is also a café on the Quay serving breakfast and food. This is a great place to sit and watch the activity on the Quay including the fishing boats bringing back their ‘catch of the day’. There is a ferry that runs from the end of the Quay (best to check times and weather permitting!) that goes over to Hengistbury Head, the famous spit as it is known with beach huts that sell for up to half a million pounds. There is a café over on this side and you can walk around the head, through the village of Wick and then take a short ferry ride over to the Captains Club (a hotel, bar and restaurant on the waterside) in Christchurch.
Christchurch itself is an historical town with an abundance of bars and restaurants – there is a museum and it is worth a visit to the Priory (the largest Church in England). The Quay at Christchurch is also a great place to visit and you can get another ferry from here back to Hengistbury Head.
If you turn left as you exit Sandhills, you walk along the promenade to Avon Beach and the Noisy Lobster which has a coffee bar and fish hatch and a shop and restaurant. It is great to pop down and get fish and chips from the ‘hatch’ and then eat them on the benches provided on the beach.
The beautiful New Forest is just a short drive away. Walk through gladed forest enclosures or across beautiful heathland. For cyclists there are 100 miles of way-marked cycle tracks across the Crown Lands of the Forest. There are various family activities, horse riding, New Forest Tours, wildlife spotting, wild play to mention but a few.

We will definitely be coming back
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We loved our stay at Shoreline, the lodge was perfect for us. We have a toddler and the lodge has a bath and her travel cot fit in the second bedroom.
There is a great view over the Quay and green with lots going on, but you still have privacy because it’s set back. The lodge was clean and modern and Mudhuts were at hand when the radiator didn’t work and some one came out on a bank holiday to fix it.
We had a nice bottle of wine on arrival too. We will definitely be coming back.

The location doesn't get much better than this

The location doesn't get much better than this, loved waking up to the sound of waves and breakfast watching the sea. Well equipped and very comfortable. The sun deck roof space was a bonus as we were very lucky with the weather. Definitely will be back.
