DESCRIPTION

The Port Hole, or the Tardis as we call it because of its surprising spaciousness, has been the bolt hole of the Holgate family for many years and is now available for holiday lets. It is in an ideal location, just a couple of minutes’ walk from Mudeford Quay and Avon Beach. It also has two parking spaces.

The house is very much designed for a family and it sleeps 6; 4 adults in a super king size bedroom and a double bedroom and a children’s bedroom with bunk beds. Both the master and second bedroom have plenty of wardrobe space.

The downstairs living area is fairly open plan with a well-equipped kitchen and dining area that leads through to a spacious lounge with bi-fold doors that take you out into an enclosed courtyard space. The courtyard is fully enclosed, so quite safe for children and your four-legged furry friend. It also enjoys the afternoon sun, so great for alfresco dining or just chilling and enjoying a drink.

There is a downstairs shower room which is great for washing sand off when you get back from a day at the beach, or if you have been out on the water and want a nice warm shower.

Upstairs there is a family bathroom with a bath and standalone shower.

Opposite is the excellent Jetty restaurant and the 4* Christchurch Harbour Hotel, plus close by are bus stops to both Bournemouth and Lymington.

There is much to see and do in the local area. Mudeford Quay is famous for crabbing, you can buy crab nets and bait from the gift shop just by the Haven House Inn on the Quay or from the Fish stall. You can hire paddleboards and other ‘water’ equipment down on the Quay and there is a ferry that goes over to Hengistbury Head; the beach over there is dog friendly all year round and you can walk around the head to Christchurch if you wish.

Further along is the Avon beach and the Noisy Lobster restaurant which has an outside balcony – have a lovely long lunch just watching the world go by! There is also a gift shop, coffee hut and the Lobster Hatch that serves takeaway fish and chips.

Christchurch is the local town with the famous Priory which is well worth a look and walk around. Lymington has a market on a Saturday and further afield The New Forest which has some amazing walks and a great place to see the ponies and, if you are lucky, the donkeys and wild pigs!

It is the perfect holiday home for a family retreat by the seaside!
